Maxine Swann – 14' (USA)
Maxine Swann is an American writer and filmmaker from Pennsylvania, based in Buenos Aires since 2001. Author of three novels, she received a Harold D. Vursell Memorial Award from the Academy of Arts and Letters. Her stories have appeared in The Best American Short Stories, O’Henry Prize Stories, and Pushcart Prize Stories, and her nonfiction work has been optioned for film. In 2022, she attended the Torcuato di Tella University Film Program in Buenos Aires. She is currently writing a book about her Drag King experience.
